Careers, and what we expect from them, have changed dramatically from the traditional linear model of the “career ladder”. New and emerging roles, remote working and global connectivity means that non-linear career paths are much more common – making it even more essential to have effective career conversations.

The workshop will begin by exploring how career conversations are essential for motivation, performance, job satisfaction and business growth. Participants will explore the navigation model and use this to identify their own needs and aspirations for their roles, equipping them with the skills to have much more insightful and focused career conversations in the future.

They will then discover the four types of journeys that anyone could be on within their career, remembering that career paths are often not linear!

By exploring what steps they need to take to progress on their journey, and whether they need to “zoom in” or “zoom out” to allow this progression, participants are given valuable insights into the actions needed to allow them grow and develop their career. Finally, participants will come away with an action plan and a range of top tips that will enhance their career conversation skills and drive their professional development.
