Impact

On your business

  • Overall growth throughout the organisation – challenging conversations are often the ones that can lead to the most development. Knowing how to handle these effectively can be the difference between ignoring an issue, or learning and developing from it.
  • Greater creativity – without feeling threatened and limited by the prospect of challenging conversations, this promotes more diverse and innovative discussions that previously would have gone unsaid.
  • A healthier, less volatile working environment – being able to respond to and initiate challenging conversations in a respectful manner leads to a calmer working environment and promotes better relationships between colleagues.

As a result of this workshop participants will

  • Understand the need for challenging conversations and the associated benefits – ultimately promoting a culture of growth, development and opportunity for all parties concerned.
  • Be able to structure their challenging conversations so that they can establish a positive outcome.
  • Recognise and understand the range of emotions they may experience and encounter during any future challenging conversations. But also, be able to manage them in order to establish positive outcomes, and ensure the psychological safety, wellbeing and emotional resilience of concerned parties.

Want to know more?

Having a challenging conversation can be overwhelming and time-consuming, but when done well, can deliver growth, development, and drive productivity. However, with many finding the prospect of having these conversations daunting, any potential benefits are all too often cut dead at the source.
The good news is that this workshop will help participants when encountering those tough communications. Participants will discuss the factors that make these conversations difficult for us to have in the first place and discover what the science

tells us about challenging conversations, alongside the benefits that such challenge can yield. In addition to this, participants will learn a model to help steer them towards a positive outcome for all parties. They will explore the psychology behind the emotional reactions they might encounter during a challenging conversation, while receiving tips for establishing and maintaining a healthy dialogue with those around them-be they colleagues, clients, or customers!
