All too often it can be difficult to ascertain the difference between a straightforward task or goal and a project which requires carefully considered management. Nevertheless, without doubt, most managers will lead and manage projects to completion on a regular basis, though they perhaps don’t quite realise it and lack the basic training required to deliver on successful outcomes.
Across 2 x 100 minute workshops participants will learn how to recognise and run a project effectively, considering the common contributory factors to project failure and how to mitigate against them, and a framework to support in the process of scoping and steps they can take to avoid scope creep.
Participants will also consider the importance of accountability and clarity of stakeholder roles and discuss best practise around communicating and meeting with stakeholders.
Perhaps most importantly participants will benefit from the opportunity to apply learning and techniques to different practical scenarios, based upon their own real-world project management scenarios, and consider a structure for project review.
