More Information

Career paths today are rarely linear. Evolving roles and global connectivity mean that progression no longer follows a simple “ladder” – and expectations around careers have shifted alongside this change. In this environment, having effective, focused career conversations is essential for maintaining motivation, supporting development and aligning individual growth with organisational goals.

Yet many career conversations lack clarity. Individuals may feel unsure about what they want next, how to articulate their aspirations or what progression really looks like in a non-linear landscape. Without a clear framework, there is a danger of discussions remaining vague, which limits both personal growth and business impact.

This workshop explores why career conversations matter and introduces a practical navigation model to guide them. Participants will reflect on their own needs and aspirations, examine four common career journey types, and consider whether they need to “zoom in” to build depth or “zoom out” to broaden their experience. The session provides structured tools to make career discussions more purposeful and strategic.

Participants will leave with greater clarity about their own direction and a clear action plan to support their next steps. They’ll gain practical tips to enhance future career conversations, enabling them to take ownership of their development and progress with confidence.
