More Information

Having a challenging conversation can be overwhelming and time-consuming, but when done well, difficult conversations can deliver growth and development opportunities, in turn driving both innovation and productivity. However, with many finding the prospect of having these conversations daunting, perhaps even avoiding them all together, any potential benefits are all too often cut dead at the source.

The good news is that this workshop will help participants when encountering those tough communications. Participants will consider their own personal contexts and the conversations they need to have in their roles, exploring the factors that make these conversations challenging for them personally and how to overcome them.

They’ll discover what the science tells us about challenging conversations, and their own responses to them, alongside flipping the narrative and examining the benefits and opportunities that engaging in such challenge can yield.

In addition to this, participants will learn a model to help steer them towards a positive outcome for all parties. They will explore the psychology behind the emotional reactions they might encounter during a challenging conversation, and receive tips for establishing and maintaining a healthy dialogue with those around them – be they colleagues, clients, or customers.
