More Information
Coaching is a powerful tool for developing people and improving performance. By adopting a coaching approach, managers create space for individuals to grow in confidence, helping them to take ownership and build capability over time. Strong coaching conversations also help address challenges early, preventing small issues from becoming bigger problems.
Yet many managers find coaching difficult to apply in practice. For example, it’s common for conversations can default to advice-giving or problem-solving rather than encouraging reflection and ownership. Without a clear structure or the right questioning skills, coaching can feel time-consuming or ineffective, limiting its impact on development and performance.
This workshop introduces practical tools and techniques to help managers have more effective coaching conversations. Participants will explore how to structure conversations, ask purposeful questions and create the right balance of support and challenge. The focus is on building confidence in using coaching as part of everyday management, rather than as a standalone ‘one-off’ activity.
Participants will leave with a clear framework they can apply immediately. They’ll gain confidence in guiding conversations that develop others, strengthen performance and build motivation, enabling them to support their teams more effectively while creating a culture of growth and accountability.
