More Information

Change is now a defining feature of organisational life, and managers sit at the centre of how teams experience it. With many organisations increasing the pace and scale of change, the ability to guide people through uncertainty is a core leadership skill. When managers communicate clearly and support people’s psychological needs during transition, teams stay focused, resilient and ready for what comes next.

Yet change is rarely straightforward. Team members may feel overwhelmed, sceptical or unsure about what the future holds. Old routines disappear before new ones feel secure, and without thoughtful management, this uncertainty can quickly lead to confusion, disengagement or stalled delivery. Managers often find themselves caught between expectations from above and the emotional responses of their teams.

This workshop gives managers the tools to lead people through change with clarity and confidence. Participants will explore why change triggers such strong reactions. They will learn a model to recognise where team members are in the process and therefore identify the level of support needed for each individual, and practise communication techniques that reduce confusion and build trust. They will also apply the learning to a real upcoming change and begin shaping a practical plan.

By the end, participants will feel more equipped to support their teams through transition. They will leave knowing how to identify what people need, communicate effectively, and create the conditions for individuals to adapt, grow and ultimately thrive through change.
