More Information
Negotiation is a core workplace skill, shaping everyday conversations as much as formal agreements. Whether discussing priorities with colleagues or reaching terms with clients, effective negotiation helps individuals and projects move forward without damaging relationships. Well-managed negotiation also has the potential to build trust and lead to outcomes that work for everyone involved.
In practice, though, many negotiations feel uncomfortable or unproductive. People may avoid them altogether, push too hard, or default to a single approach that doesn’t suit the situation. Without a clear strategy, conversations can stall at “no”, become unnecessarily tense, or result in short-term wins that cause longer-term friction.
This workshop introduces a range of negotiation techniques and shows how to apply them in real-life contexts. Participants will explore principled negotiation strategies and learn techniques for getting past the “no” while maintaining positive working relationships.
Through practical discussion and planning, participants will apply their learning to a real negotiation they are preparing for. They will leave with a clearer sense of their objectives, greater confidence in choosing the right approach, and a set of tools that help them negotiate in a way that feels constructive and professional.
