More Information
Motivation plays a central role in how individuals feel about their work and how effectively teams perform. Strong motivation can lead to engagement, satisfaction and momentum. So, for managers and teams alike, understanding what drives motivation is the key to creating an environment where people feel committed, empowered and able to do their best work.
However, in practice, sustaining motivation can be challenging. Competing priorities and limited autonomy can leave teams feeling disengaged or going through the motions. Leaders may invest time and effort without seeing a lasting shift, often because the underlying drivers of motivation aren’t fully understood or consistently supported.
This workshop explores the core principles that underpin workplace motivation and engagement. Participants will be introduced to four key cornerstones – purpose, mastery, autonomy and progress – and examine how each contributes to a motivated, engaged team. Through discussion and reflection, they will consider how these drivers show up in everyday work and where gaps may exist in their teams currently.
Participants will leave with a clear, practical understanding of how to apply the four cornerstones within their own teams. They will gain ideas for strengthening purpose, recognising strengths, enabling the right level of autonomy and making progress visible – helping to boost motivation in a sustainable and meaningful way.
