More Information
Team wellbeing is shaped by everyday management practices. Managers play a critical role in creating the conditions where team members can thrive – for example, by setting and managing boundaries, and noticing early signs of strain. Teams whose wellbeing is actively supported are more resilient, engaged and able to perform consistently.
However, the challenge is that pressure can build quietly. Team members may be dealing with personal setbacks, work–life conflict or ongoing stressors that go unspoken, and unhelpful norms and blurred boundaries that have become normalised can harm wellbeing further. Without the confidence or tools to intervene early, managers may only notice issues once stress is already affecting performance.
This workshop helps managers take a more proactive, human approach to team wellbeing. Participants will explore how boundaries and team norms influence wellbeing, learn to spot common signs of stress, and practise having supportive check-in conversations. They will also examine team-level stressors using simple psychological models, and explore practical ways to manage and protect team energy over time.
Participants will leave with greater awareness of their impact as managers and clearer strategies for supporting wellbeing in real-life situations. They will gain practical tools they can use immediately to create healthier, more sustainable ways of working for their teams.
